The purpose of SuicideHotlines.net is
to help keep suicide hotline listings on the internet as
current as possible by helping other webmasters and web
sites with the updating process.
Webmasters can now more easily link to
the individual state pages or link them
into frames on their own sites. Or copy, download or "save as"
to get the numbers into your own site software.
The numbers are public information
and no copyright is claimed on this site.
If you "save as" and
open the pages with your own software, this should hopefully preserve
the links. It is possible to copy and paste from your browser,
but I have found that the links will be lost this way.
By providing a generic, text
only version of the hotlines for other webmasters to save
as into their own sites in order to ensure the
most accurate list of suicide hotline phone numbers possible.
pages are plain with no identifying links except for the update
form which is as plain as possible and opens in a new browser
Addresses of the Crisis Centers
are not necessary for the callers and not included because many
of the crisis centers are telephone services only, have post office
boxes and do not wish for their addresses to be published.
